Modify shape of drop target OR where drag item "snaps" (not in an interaction)
Jul 17, 2015
Ok, this has gotten pretty complex from where I started! I began with a scored drag and drop interaction, but I became interested in scoring the quiz by drag/drop pair rather than all or nothing.
Then I found this: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/is-there-a-way-to-score-each-individual-match-of-a-drag-and-drop
Hooray, it seems to be working!
However, my drop target shapes are not rectangles (see image - each target is a group of states in the same color), and since it's a Pick One Freeform, I don't have control over where the drag item falls -- it seems to snap to the upper left corner. The only workaround I can think of currently is to change my drop targets to freeform polygrams and rely on the steadiness of my hand to get it somewhere close to the edge of the shape.
Any other ideas? Thanks!

Well, I'm still curious if there is a way to make these changes, it was not as much of as a hassle as I expected to work with the free form hotspot, so that will be my solution for now. Why do I over-complicate things? :-)
Thanks so much for the update, Rebekah, and hopefully others in the community may be able to offer some suggestions that you find to be more efficient. :)
