Can I move the position of the video controls relative to the video window? At the moment it appears below the video, masking some of my custoim navigation controils. Can I reposition it so it sits within the video itself, or set it so it only appears as a rollover?
Jeremy, this is not currently possible but would make a great feature request.
What I have done in some projects as an alternative is to fashion my own video navigation buttons and positioned them where I want. This is fairly easy to do using triggers.
Is this finally possible? E.g. see the Youtube mobile interface where the user sees a big play button in the middle of the video when paused which disappears when the user clicks it.
This is not possible using default functionality, but with Storyline you can easily build your own custom video controls that appear wherever you want, whenever you want them.
Lauren, thank you... not sure if it's modifying video properties per se, but rather updating the video player controls to modern day standards so that the user experience is consistent with video every where else.
Rather than choosing controls below the video (which causes many problems with video size and positioning) or no controls at all, we should have the options to display video controls on top of the video as well as to have those controls be persistent or appear/disappear with mouse over.

Hello Enzo, welcome to Heroes.
This is not possible using default functionality, but with Storyline you can easily build your own custom video controls that appear wherever you want, whenever you want them.
Here is an example from guru Mike Enders on creating the youtube style playbutton you mentioned: https://player.vimeo.com/video/149069174
And the associated thread this came from: http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/22012/121183.aspx
Hi Enzo! Looks like Brian is taking care of you here. I love that approach that he shared from Mike.
I wanted to pop in and welcome you to E-Learning Heroes though.
Thanks Brian

Still just "below video" or "none"... Agree, other options would be nice

Hello Hy and Brian!
We welcome feature requests! Use this link to share why modifying video properties would elevate your courses.

Hi Lauren, with all due respect, a feature request was clearly filed nearly 7 years ago. Can you refer to that one?
