We have a module that we worked on 7 months ago, suddenly all the content disappeared from it. The slides are there, the images, audio, shapes, all gone.
There's a published version of it. Has anyone encountered something like this? is it have to do with the latest version update?
Hi there, Nitzan. I'm happy to work closely with you to sort what happened!
Could you help me with these key details?
Where is the published output hosted?
Do you see this issue within Storyline, in the published output, or both?
Can I confirm that you're working on a local hard drive? Working on a shared drive can cause such oddities, so I always like to rule that out as the culprit!
Let's try these steps to see if it helps restore the content within Storyline: Close Storyline > Make a copy of the file, give it a new name, and save it to your local hard drive. Then, import the slides into a new Storyline file.
If that doesn't help, are you comfortable with sharing the .story file for testing? Here's the private upload link. That way, I can preview and publish the course on my end and let you know what I find!

Hi Katie,
We are working on a shared drive- the file saved to SharePoint.
We worked locally, and then backed it up on SharePoint. The issue is only in Storyline, not in the published output.
Hi, Nitzan. Thanks for those details!
To prevent file corruption and oddities, we recommend saving to a local hard drive.
