Moodle/ Storyline not working
Feb 10, 2014
I'm new to Storyline, and have had my first attempt at creating something. I'm now trying to test the publishing aspect, and then load into Moodle. At this point, I'm not too worried about tracking etc, just want to get something that is viewable.
I've tried publishing as a SCORM (I've tried 1.2 and 2004 versions) and uploading in Moodle 2.3 and 2.5 (we're running a test server at the moment), but each time I get an error message about the imsmanifest file not being in the root folder.
I've tried publishing for the web, and then uploading to Moodle as a file. I can view the published package fine withough going through Moodle, but when I try uploading as a file and pointing the main file to story.html, I just get a blank screen when I try to view.
Does anyone have any advice? - I'm probably making a really obvious mistake somewhere, but I've been at this all morning with no success (ready to throw the PC out the window just about now!)

You are better off using the built in zip function when you publish, if you decide not to then zip the contents of the output folder and not the folder, the Manifest must be at the root level.
I couldn't get the built in zip to make it work, but took your advice re the manual zip (I had been zipping the folder not the contents) and then it worked in Moodle 2.5.
Brilliant - many thanks for your help.
