Motion Path - How to be Perfectly Horizontal?

I use many straight motion paths for animation. When I need them to be horizontal, it is time-consuming. Not only that, the result is almost never a PERFECTLY horizontal path. I want ABSOLUTE precision, yet what I usually achieve is horizontal path that's off by 1 or 2 pixels at the end of the animation.
Yes, I drag the little pink dot. Yes, I zoom in to watch the dash line, which seems to be happy to be at any angle except at perfect horizontal...no matter how finely I control my mouse as I hold my breath and stick out my neck.
My question is, does Storyline have a way for me to just lock the movement of the pink dot in horizontal direction as I drag it? That would be so nice.

Hi Tim,
All you need to do is hold down the Shift key when you click and drag the motion path dot.

Motion path question...
Hope that helps! :)
If this is still an issue for people you can actually just click the 'Path Options' and click Horizontal, this will then allow you to the Shift key to keep it that way with no movement up or down
