Mouse hover trigger for hyperlink not working in SL3

We've converted one of our projetcs from SL2 to Sl3 and during testing in preview mode and in our LMS, the original trigger for a hyperlink in a feedback layer is no longer working (Show Layer "Correct hover" when mouse hovers over; restore on mouse leave)
The workaround we have for now is just to make the link clickable so it displays the additional information from the "Correct hover" layer.
Is this a bug or is there a setting that I need to check that didn't transfer right when we converted the SL2 file to SL3?

Hi Wendy,
Sorry you got stuck after upgrading your file to Storyline 3, and I'm glad to hear you found a workaround!
If you'd like us to take a look at the Storyline 3 file to see if there's something buggy happening there, you can attach it to a new thread comment. Thanks!
Thanks for the update, Leslie. Was the hyperlink hover bug not fixed in Storyline 3? I'm running the latest version (Update 2) but the bug is still there. Maybe this was only fixed in Storyline 360?
You are correct Doug. The update that I provided was specific to Storyline 360, but the same fix should be included in the next update to Storyline 3 as well :)
Great! Thanks a lot, Leslie.
Hey everybody. I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 3 for Storyline 3! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.
One of the fixes addresses an issue where in the HTML5 output, the Mouse hover trigger on hyperlink text didn't work.
Here’s where you can download and install the latest version of Storyline 3. Let me know how you make out!
The new update fixes the issue in my courses. Thanks for the news, Crystal!
Hi ,
I'm having a similar problem using markers activated on hover. I always put all my information in the subject line usually as it is much neater when revealed on hover. I have just discovered that when published in html5 only as all my company's e-learning is now done links do not work in the subject line. This means that links are now not working in countless programmes. See test link which includes some options and attached source file

I have just updated Storyline with March 6th update but header links still not working in html5

Hi Maurice!
Thanks so much for chiming in! I'm also seeing that hyperlinks in the header area of a marker caption are not working in HTML5.
It sounds like you're using Storyline 3, is that correct? Also, was this functionality working prior to updating your software?
Hi Alyssa,
Apologies for the late reply as I've been away. It was working but previously I published to flash and html. My company wants me to publish to html only as it generally solves a lot of problems for multi-platform users and ipad users can access it via Safari. I was just wondering if the software writers could come up with some code in the next update to fix this glitch?
No worries, Maurice! Our team is looking into this problem, and I'll be sure to keep you posted on any updates I receive. I can't say whether the fix will happen in the next update, but here's some more information on how we tackle bugs when they are reported to us.
Hello Dayn!
I'm happy to share that we released Storyline 3 (Build 3.12.24693.0), which includes a fix for the bug where HTML5: Hyperlinks do not work in the same text box as a variable reference.
To take advantage of the new features and bug fixes, make sure to update Storyline 3!
If you run into any snags, don't hesitate to reach out to us in this discussion or a support case.
Hi Lauren. Thanks for the update on this. That's good to hear.
