I am creating a test for SAP and I have a few hotspots that will have the mouse pointer change to a hand and give away the answer. I am attaching screen shots to show the difference. I need my users to select the correct spot but not give away the answer. Any help is appreciated.
I tried this and I am still getting the hand when it hovers over the hotspot. I have tried deleting the hotspot and re-creating it and making sure my triggers are correct. I turned of the "show hand cursor on hover" and it is still appearing.
It seems to just be that one slide and I can't figure out why. It looks like you've added some other elements to the screen, but why it's showing the hand...that I can't figure out.
Could you please submit a support ticket so we can take a look?
Articulate has been able to solve every issue I have had except for this one. There is still no answer from the support ticket I created. You might want to create one yourself, maybe they will get you a solution quicker.
I took a look at your case and see that Jayem shared he was sending it along to our QA team for further review. He also responded to you at the end of August regarding the issue still being with our team. I'll add this thread to the existing report to see if they've been able to further isolate the issue.
I know this post is rather outdated. But I am having the same issue. If I insert a screen recording as a test the cursor does not change to a hand while hovering the correct or incorrect hotspot (which is what I want to happen). However, if I insert a screen shot and add hotspots the cursor changes into a hand for the entire screen (not just the hotspots). Exact opposite of the screen recording. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, Kimberly -- Thanks for your question, and if there was a certain participant here you'd like to contact directly, you can do so from the 'Contact Me' link on their profile page. Otherwise, do you have a file you'd be able to share so we can take a closer look at what you've described?
I also tried adding a hotspot to cover the rest of the area and chose to have the hand appear on hover, but it didn't work. The software seems to fancy the correct answer/hotspot. :(

The finger pointer
Jefferson,
If you right click the hotspot, you'll see an option to "show hand cursor on hover". If you disable this option, the arrow won't turn to a hand.

Jefferson,
Could you post a sample slide so we could take a look?

Jefferson,
I'm not sure what I'm seeing in your file. Did you record a screencast and then insert it as a test?

I have submitted the support ticket. Thank you for your help.
you could add hotspots to incorrect areas - thus not giving away the correct answer.
Was there a solution to this issue? I created a module with multiple scenes /simulations created by recording my screen.
Even though I have right-clicked on the hotspot and made sure it is set to 'not show the cursor on hover', it still does it.
Help?

Ditto this question... Was there any resolution on this? I don't want to give away answers either.

Hi Jazzmine! This thread is a bit dated and seems related to SL1. Are you utilizing SL1 as well?
Would you be able to share your .story file for us to take a look?
