Move slide in a scene

I think I'm going mad!
I've created a standard slide at the end of a scene (slide no. 36) and I want to move it to slide position in my scene. Normally I would just drag it there in story view. However when I do that it moves all the slides after this slide to the right of the panel in story view and when I preview the scene the player does not go beyond this slide that I have moved to position 10. Wherever I move that slide to is where the player stops. I have checked and the slide is a normal untitled slide and was a duplicate of another slide which worked fine. Any ideas please?

Set the next slide trigger first on the slide you want to move, or set it after you move it, at the moment the slide goes nowhere except the next slide which is not there.
So set it to slide 11 and then drag and drop or after you drop set it to 11

I am having the same issue. Why should we have to find a work around just to simply move the slide to a different place in the story line? This seems rather unreasonable when it should be a simple drag process. I have moved slides to different positions before and now I am unable to do so. Why does this happen?
Hi Michele,
Were you previously able to move around the slides within Story View? If something has changed that's preventing you from dragging slides, I'd suggest you start with a repair, and also confirm you're running Storyline Update 4.
