move storyline projects to ipad & access w/o internet connection?

Mar 26, 2013

Hi guys-

I know I've asked this before and the answer was dropbox-- all well and good when you have an internet connection-- what about accessing when you don't?  I've looked at file sharing options but they all seem to relate to apps that support file sharing (and that doesn't include articulate player).  Any other ideas about how to port over my mods?  I want to show to clients & prospects w/o having to depend on a live internet connection-- tks!

Hi Bud, here is one thing you can do - first thing is to publish your storyline project with the "allow downloading for offline viewing set" and then zip the published output.

You can then upload the zip file to this site

http://tempshare.articulate.com/

It is a temporary site that articulate has set up to allow people to test their projects over the internet. Then you can either email this link to yourself and open it in the mail client on your iPad or access the link directly via the browser on your iPad.

This should launch the module in the Articulate Mobile Player - from there you can use the Available Offline option to download it to your iPad.

Once it is downloaded you can view it in the mobile player without an internet connection.
