Moving Projects

Sep 07, 2016

My department recently purchased Storyline 2 for me as I recently took over a position that requires me building training programs. The person I took over for is now in another department but still has a dormant Articulate acccount with a training from last year that I really could use. Could someone tell me how to import her training from Articulate on her desktop over to my new Storyline account? Thank you.

Use your corporate network, or OneDrive, or Google Drive, or Dropbox, or SneakerNet (Flash drive, portable external drive, etc) to copy the ".story" files to your computer. You can open and edit them just as if you created them. You can zip them first if necessary.

You don't want published files, or the zipped files Storyline creates, or the folders with Storyline in the name, as you can't use them.

Her project was created using Articulate '09, so she does not have any ".story" files. What she does have are ".ppta" and ".intr" files. Are they compatible with Storyline? If not, do we need to transfer her entire Articulate account to my computer?

Hi Jason!

You can import the material, but you will need at least a trial to import the Engage files (which are the .intr files).

Here's how to import content from Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into Articulate Storyline.

Take advantage of existing Articulate Engage interactions by importing them into Storyline. Here's how.
