Hi. I have placed a mp4 movie on the slide. In preview all is good. When I publish it and test from the popup all is good. When I move it to the server it breaks. I have tried coping the source mp4 and placing it next to the story.html and in the story_content folder. I even opend up the frame.xml and found where the vido should be and it just says "Video"
When I do play the course I can move my mouse over the movie and I get the finger and the slide sit's for 1:04 then auto advances(Movie is 1:04 long) so it knowes something is present just not showing
Please help I have 5 other courses on hold for this fix
Thanks
Bobby

Hi Bobby!
Sounds like your server isn't configured for the MP4 MIME type.
Does the video play fine in Tempshare, for example?
Bobby, does this work for Storyline also? If so how do you save as a zip when publishing?
Thanks,
June
Hi June,
I'm not sure that Bobby is still subscribed to this thread - but I'm unclear on what you're looking to accomplish? When you publish your Storyline course, you should see a publish successful window, and there is an option to zip it there:
Hi Ashley - I find that using the zip feature above (Publish Successful box) doesn't include the .mp4 file in Storyline 1, even if the .mp4 is sitting in the story_content directory.
I have the same problem. Mp4s do not play once published. I had to move all my video content to YouTube.
Hi Brian,
That sounds like odd behavior - you should be able to see the mp4 file in your published output (although it's name may have changed to something else). How have you inserted and linked your video within the .story file?
Alexandra,
If the videos are not playing upon publish, I'd begin by reviewing the troubleshooting steps here.
