I'm working with some very large MP4 files (up to 324MB) and notice that when I import one to a slide, the video clarity decreases drastically - apparently the file is being compressed quite a bit upon import. Does anyone know of a way to import without compressing - or any other way to retain the video quality??
You can adjust the settings in the publish dialogue, if this doesn't help the only other option is after publish find the video in the content folder and swap it for your uncompressed file, you will need to ensure the filename is exactly the same.
You could also upgrade to Storyline 2 since it has a new feature that, when checked, won't compress the video at all. Storyline 1, even at the best quality settings, will still compress your file. A workaround is what Phil mentions. FYI - Studio '13 also has the no compress feature.
