Multiple answer in one LMS session for freeform quiz

Apr 05, 2018

Hi everybody,

I have a feedback quiz / survey to prepare but have run into a bit of an issue. We're using SABA lms (version 7.3). I have used freeform question type; there are total of 7 freeform questions and 3 open questions (essay). Survey participants are free to move around the questionaire as they please

Now for the issue: when I'm publishing the course to my LMS using SCORM 2004 2nd edition as I need question text pushed to it and try to use it as would the user do it I get repeated answers for questions if I change the answer (without leaving the course). Is there a way to remedy this? I have tried to fiddle with question settings (feedback, score, attempts) as well as question slide triggers (like removing submit interaction trigger) or making a proxy slide before result slide but nothing I try helps.

Reporting to LMS looks something like this:

Question one | I don't think so

Question one | No

Question two | I don't think so

Question one | A firm yes

etc (depending how many times user changes his mind)

I've prepared and attached a "work-a-like" story file. I would be very greatful for any insight into my issue :)

I have tried to google it and scour this great forum, but to no avail unfortunately.

Hi Łukasz, thanks for your question!

I gave your file a test drive in SCORM Cloud here. I changed my answer multiple times for each question, and I found that only one answer was recorded for each question.

Have you tested your file in SCORM Cloud also? That will help to narrow down whether this issue is related to SABA LMS or to the file itself.

Hi Alyssa,

Thanks! On SCORM Cloud content was working correctly so I dug deeper :).

Seems there might've been an issue with content propagation on our content servers. I have manually removed files from all the servers and uploaded them again. That helped, though I did lose my question text during all this testing, but it's something I should be able to fix fairly easy.

Cheers,
Łukasz
