Multiple audio for multiple triggers

Jan 12, 2014

Hi,

I have about 10 buttons on a slide with 10 corresponding audio files. I've linked every audio file to their respective buttons. My problem is, when I click on a button while an audio is already playing, there's an overlap of audios. With the experience I have, the only way I've figured to avoid this is to use "Stop media sound1 when user clicks button2" Stop media sound1 when user clicks button3" ........ and so on. but since there are 10 buttons, there are a lot of triggers that are repeated for each button.

Is there a better way of doing it?

Your help is highly appreciated!

Hi Padma and welcome to Heroes!

You'll want to set it up as follows:

1. Each button shows a layer where the audio file lives.

2. The audio on each layer is set to start when the timeline starts

3. You'll want to set the individual layer properties to "Hide other layers" and "pause the timeline of the base layer"
