Multiple Audio in an interaction
Oct 09, 2014
Greetings
I have an interaction with multiple layers. I want an audio file to play on each interaction. I want the previous audio file to stop when I click a button to go to the next layer. I first put the audio files on each layer. If I clicked any button to go to another layer, the new audio file for that would play as well as the previous layer audio file would continue if not finished.
There is no trigger condition to stop all audio. Seems like I could add the audio to the buttons and they would play only the audio associated with the button.
Anyway, specific guidance (tips and Tricks) would be appreciated.
Suggestion also allow for uploading files to a library so you can cut out a lot of repetitive steps. Like Captivate.
Thanks
Everett

Hello Everett!
There is a trigger to Pause media, and one to Stop Media. you can add these to the buttons that show the new layer.
Hope this helps!
Thanks but that control allows you to stop one file. I have a slide with 7 layers, a button to display each, a narration file for each. I would have to create 6 stop media triggers for each button because I do not know which file is playing when the button is clicked.
Greetings
Same answer as before.
Thanks
Hello Everett,
Hopefully some community members can advise on how to set this up using variables and conditions!
I would create a slide layer called stopSound and have the triggers there to stop all sounds and then hide itself right away, then all you have to do everytime you want to stop all 7 is show that layer
