I have a few courses where we use multiple narrators (to have a discussion between characters, or to give the learners a change during the course). Does anyone have experience with the audio files being at different volumes and how to address that within the program? I'm using Storyline 2.
If you want consistent volume across narrators, across slides and across course components, I suggest you get a program like Auphonic Leveler or something similar. This software is used by the broadcasting industry to ensure consistent volume. You choose a setting, and drag and drop your audio files to the program. It automatically "levels" the volume as well as cleans up some noise.
We use two narrators (male and female) for all of our courses. It has been a nightmare to try and keep the volumes consistent. I have used this program for over 4 years now and it is an indispensable tool in our course development toolbox.
I recently purchased an audio editing program called Acoustica 7. I like it as it is powerful, yet easy to use. This is the only audio editing program that I have found that also has an volume leveling feature. So this may be another option.

Hi Edith!
Have you tried using the Volume tool in the Audio Editor?
You can use this tool to increase or decrease the volume of individual audio clips.
I hope that helps!
Oh, awesome...that works. Thanks for the help!

Adobe Audition has a Match Loudness feature now that works well for getting everything to a consistent loudness.
+1 for Adobe Audition. Intimidating to look at but genuinely very simple to use
Thanks all for the feedback...I'll keep that in mind for future courses!
