Multiple Numeric Entries on One Slide - How To Submit All the Interactions for Them?

Jan 25, 2019

Hello. I have 12 numeric entry boxes on one slide. How do I set up a 'submit interaction' trigger for all 12 to make sure the learner's number entry in each one is reported to the LMS?

Phil and Matthew...thank you both!

Matthew, I used the approach you suggested below and attached a copy of the scenes where I had to use it.

Two questions...

First...when creating the hidden questions, it is okay to select 'user may skip?' When I had it selected as 'user must answer,' it would stop on every slide and show an error box  (slides 1.5 through 1.16 and 1.24 through 1.35 - I had to create a lot of them given what I am trying to accomplish with this exercise). When I changed it to 'user may skip,' it worked fine but I want to be sure this isn't going to cause a hiccup with the LMS (which I have not had a chance to test it with yet).

Second question - are the results slides necessary? I built them in (1.17 and 2.1) but was just wondering if results slides are necessary for EVERY question in Storyline 360 in order for an LMS to capture the learner's input. So many of my exercises throughout the entire course are non-graded essay and drag-and-drop questions and I haven't created any results slide for them because they aren't needed. But...if they are needed in order for an LMS to capture the learner's input, I guess I will have to find a way to incorporate them in...perhaps like what I did with 2.1?

This is all new territory for me so I appreciate your patience with what may be basic questions. I've never built an online course let alone use Storyline 360 to do it so I am in major learning mode right now. Thank you so much for your help!
