Multiple Question Types

Jul 12, 2018

I am using Storyline 2 and I need to have a slide that has multiple question types.  My users will need to type a name and then click on 'radio buttons' across multiple rows before they submit.  Is that possible????

Hi there, Michele!  Only one interaction can be graded per slide, but check out Jeannette's workaround here for multiple text entry fields.  You can try to apply the same concepts to the question types you're including on your slide.

What should happen based on how learners reply?  Would a likert-style survey question work?

I appreciate that.  I decided not to use one of the question slides.  I have to use a specific form that needs to be filled out as part of a 'knowledge quiz'.  I pared down the number of questions/items to be completed.  I only want them to fill in the screener code, and select D,C, or R and then total them at the bottom.  I have attached the form.  This form will be the background and then I will put radio buttons and text entry fields.

Ah, great, thanks for the visual!  Instead of radio buttons, you could use your own circle shapes and add a selected state.  Bonus: built-in states, like selected, don't require triggers.  They work automatically!

I used a white fill in the circle shape set at 99% transparency.  That way, it was still "clickable," but it didn't obscure the D, C or R.  Here's what it might look like in action:

Also, If only one of those options should be selected at a time, you can use a button set for each group of 3 (D, C, R).  I hope that helps give you some direction!
