Multiple response built in quiz not reporting incorrect message
Jan 17, 2014
Hi All - Working on a Storyline project and relatively new to using quiz slides. Created Multiple response 10 checkboxs quiz using the built in quiz template. Need to have learner identify the correct 6 options a processs providedes. If a learner selects just one wrong response and submits it , they receive an Incorrect message. When I have tested the quiz, I get correct message with no problem but when I deliverately choose the incorrect options, I am not getting any incorrect message when player's submit button. I rebuilt the question and changed the configuration several times, but I am still not getting the correct outcomes. I didn't see any tutorials that address this issue so that left writing in to get some help. Not sure if I need to be setting up any conditons, but I was thought that once you selected all the correct responses in the edit form, that slide backoffice software would automatically trigger an incorrect message, if a learner chooses an option that doesn't fit quiz profile. Any help her would be welcome.

Hi Merrill,
You say, "If a learner selects just one wrong response and submits it , they receive an Incorrect message"
Then you say, "... but when I deliverately choose the incorrect options, I am not getting any incorrect message when player's submit button."
So, I'm a little uncertain what's going on. Do you mean if they make just 1 wrong response the incorrect message appears, but if they select some correct and some incorrect the incorrect message doesn't appear? If so, that's not typically what happens.
Can you explain a bit more? Even better, can you upload the slide so community members can take a look?
Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your response. I have actually figured out the answer. Specifically I needed to limit the question to 1 reply not unlimited. That seemed to have done the trick. Learning as I go. Thanks again.
Glad you were able to figure it out, Merrill.
