Multiple Response Issue

Hello, 

I am using this Modern E-Learning Quiz template, which is all set up as multiple choice and uses states to show correct/incorrect responses, plus a feedback layer.  I inserted a multiple response question, added a Submit button to the slide and used the same states and feedback layer setup.  However, when I try it the slide advances to the next slide immediately upon hitting the submit button, not allowing me to see the changed states or the feedback layer. I've tried changing the order of the triggers with no luck, though it works fine when I preview only that slide, but not in previewing the whole project. I'm at a loss of what else to try.
