Multiple scores per question
Aug 15, 2014
Hello there,
I have a question about a specific type of question. This is a question with 3 answers and every answer has it own score; one answer is the best (10 points) , the second answer is not wrong/ but not as good as the best answer (5 points) and the thirs answer is wrong (o points).
Why would I like to use it? It is a quiz/survey about the state of a company.
For example:
Question:
Normal
0
21
false
false
false
oNotPromoteQF />
NL
X-NONE
X-NONE
1.
Management is done from a clear
approach with concrete goals and activities.
Answers:
1 Good (10 points)
2 Focus Point (5 points)
3 Point of Improvement (0 points)
Can anyone please advice how to make this? What I can see you can only give points to a "good" and "bad" answer.
Thanks!
Regards Patrick

Hi Patrick
just create a variable called e.g. points. Then add some triggers to assign a specific number of points depending on what answer is selected.
Have a look at the attached example - I hope it helps
Wow! This is it!
Thank you very very much Joanna! You really made my day!
Regards, Patrick
Hi Joanna, I have one more question. I made about 10 questions now and I want when the user clicks the Submit button, the score is added to a total score.
So when the user finished the test of about 10 questions he or she would get some feedback depending on his/her otal score.
For example:
Q1 = 5 points
Q2 = 0 points
Q3 - Q10 = 10 points
So a total of 75 points. Because he has scored 75 points the user gets a positive feedback.
I hope you can give me some advice.
Thank you!
Hi Patrick and welcome to Heroes!
What question type are you using? A multiple choice for example will allow you to score by choice as shown here:
That would allow you to set up those points as shown - and then easily report them to a Results slide, which is built to show a success layer or failure layer based on what you set as the passing points.
Hi Patrick
I guess Ashley's suggestion would be the easiest to deploy to your project. Have you tried with the result slide?
Other way - but more time consuming - is to build some triggers showing the right feedback depending on user's point result. Just let me know if you need help with this solution.
Hi Ashley and Joanna , sorry for my late reply! I was on holiday.
I will try your suggestions now and will get back to you!
Thanks!
It was so simple! I should have figured it out myself
Thanks for your help!
