Multiple stories using one slide master

I've got a course that's comprised of fourteen stories, and my slide masters are getting unmanageable.

Each story uses the same slide master, but I did that by simply copying the slide master from one story and pasting it into the next (not having known of a way to save a slide master separate from a story, and import it).

When I make a change to the slide master, if I want that change reflected in each of the other stories, there's some serious cutting and pasting needed   Needless to say, I now have several versions of the master floating around.

Is there a way to have one single master (slide or feedback) used by multiple stories, and have any changes to it be reflected in each story that uses it? I understand that this may involve reapplying the layouts to each slide, but I'm fine with that.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
