Multiple Test in one storyline!

Dec 17, 2014

Good Morning,

I am building a fairly large storyline, with 6 sections and 6 test in total.  I publish to our LMS the score for a passed or failed test.

Question: Is it possible to have 6 test, one after each section? I am ok with only submitting the score on the last test, but if any of the previous 5 test are failed i want it to not let the learner go any further and submit the failed score to the LMS. If the learner pass any of the previous 5 test, i want them to be able to continue on.

Thank You

Hi Joey,

You can only track and report one results slide to your LMS, but you can set that results slide up to track all quizzes or just one quiz in your course. You could also use it to track multiple results slides. It may help to review the information in the tutorial here.

You could also set up the failure layer of a results slide after a quiz to redirect the user back into the quiz questions.

Thank You Ashley,

I understand the basics on your solution you listed, but the main focus of my problem is this.

I have 6 sections with 6 test total, if a student gets out of the course (closes course) when on  lets say the 3rd test to go to the restroom, then the student gets back on the course from the bookmark, he will fail the test due to the course thinks he hasn't answered the first two test. Is there a solution for this?

Thank You

Hi Joey,

If you're allowing the user to resume, they should pick up where they left off and therefore the score and questions answered should still be tracked. If this isn't working for you as expected, I'd need to know more about your setup and where you're testing this course. If you're using an LMS, you may want to begin by reviewing the troubleshooting steps here and then to test your course in SCORM Cloud, which is an industry standard for testing SCORM content.
