Music Track over Multiple Slides in Storyline

Feb 03, 2021

Good morning, I hope you are having a good week!

Firstly, I want to say that I appreciate all the available trainings Articulate offers and enjoy being able to review past recordings and other resources that are provided. I hope that our company can provide training like that in the future!

I am trying to add a music track the continuously plays over a few slides in Storyline. The slides that I want it to play over would not involve any user interaction to advance to the next slide. I am also hoping that I can have the music track fade in and fade out at the beginning and end of the slides. Could you help me in better understanding the best way to go about this?

Hi Kyera,

I found several threads that might help you out.

If you want the music to play on the entire presentation, you may check out this thread.

If you want music on just a few slides, you may want to build one slide with several layers. The music can be put on the base layer of that slide. This thread talks about that.

For the music to fade in and fade out, Alexandros talked about it on this thread.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Mark, so I am hoping to play the the music track just over a few of the slides and not all. I have tried adding the track to layers, but the issue is that I have a screen recording that shows the cursor clicking different areas and when I try to copy over those slides as a layer, I get a prompt that the cursor can't be copied. I think the layer suggestion would work if I could figure out how to copy over a screen recording. I have even tried exporting the screen recording to mp4, but the quality is too bad to use as a layer Any ideas on how to do that?
