My custom Submit button won't work when clicked on...

Sep 04, 2020

Hi, I have used a custom submit button for a drag and drop slide, which is meant to show either correct or incorrect layers when clicked, however I can't get it to do this - or in fact anything else I've tried - and can't see what is wrong with my triggers.

The state of the submit button changes from Hidden to Normal when the all the drag items are dropped - that works OK - but then I can't get anything at all to happen when the user then clicks on the button. Do you know what I may be doing wrong?

It's hard to tell without the entire slide, including layers.  But it looks like you are bypassing some standard question functionality.

Try this:

Keep the triggers you have to change the state of the Submit button to Normal.

You will need to change the trigger you have on the Submit button to:

  • When user clicks the Submit button, Submit Interaction Drag and Drop.

I don't think you'll need the state changes to Drop Correct or Drop Incorrect for objects Q1 through Q3, disable those triggers to see if it works without them

The built in magic of converting to free form question takes over and should show the correct or incorrect layer.

If that doesn't work, add your file with just the question to this post so we can see what you're doing.
