my quiz scores

Hi,
I have recently created a quiz to my students and when I finished, I decided not to set the score by each question, but by each answer within each question. In other words, a student wouldn't lose the whole mark if he made a mistake, but part of it and depending on his number of mistakes. However, I discovered this option is not available in each question type and that stopped me. Can you help me set all the scores according to the number of answers in each question? Is there a way?
Thanks for any help.

Hi,
Is there a variable I could create a t least to count my scores instead of the conventional way of counting them?
Hi Bal!
It sounds like you're using the Score By Choice feature, is that right? This option lets you assign a different score to each answer choice. It's only available for Multiple Choice, Word Bank, Freeform Pick One, and Freeform Hotspot questions.
You may be able to use variables to tally your own score, and I'll leave it to the community to give you pointers on that custom set-up.
Hi Alyssa,
I'm not an expert in variables - they confuse me - but I did it at last! I created variables to count my individual scores for each of my students' answers and added them all to a TotalScore variable in the results page. I'm now in the process of counting the percentage. Hopefully I would be able to do it without mixing things up.
Way to go, Bal! 🌟 Best of luck with the rest of your project!
