My States keep Refreshing
Aug 11, 2016
I am currently building a choose your own path style learning module. When the student gets to a certain slide it offers three separate paths. They have to complete all three paths before they are able to move on. I made a border around the three options that is black normally, I want the border to change color to green once the user has completed the selected path.
{background information... The slide with the options is in its own scene and its the only slide( lets call it sc8sl1) the three options are triggers on that slide that send you to a different scene, once that scene is completed the next button brings you back to the option slide or sc8sl1.}
I have created 2 states for the frame one for each color, named normal and viewed. I have tried different variables and triggers to have the state change. If I preview just the slide the state will change, if I preview the entire project the state doesn't change. It seems like whenever the user goes back to the selection screen the states refresh back to normal.
Is there a way around this?

Hi Jess,
For that slide, selecting "Resume Saved State" in the Slide Properties may give you the intended behavior you're looking for. Check out this tutorial in the Determining How Slides Behave When Revisited section for reference. Hope that helps! :)
Hi Ali,
Thank you so much for the response, I found my issue. I had to change the order of the triggers that I was using.
Great response time as well.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the update, Jess! Happy to hear you were able to get it working :)
