My courses was built in Storyline 2 a few years back. I can't publish and view it with HTML5 because of the FLASH issues. I now have a NEXT button in the lower right of the screen and can't figure out where the heck it came from. I've attached course; can anyone hazard a guess how to remove it from display?
When the user review the quiz SL will automatically add a Next button so they can navigate between the slides.
You can add a trigger to the master slide that changes the state of the Next and Prev buttons to hidden when the timeline starts but the user will need some way of getting through the review if you remove those default buttons
There is a set of buttons within the quiz pages. I'll check it out. But the strange thing is that when I publish to CD, that pesky default NEXT shows up EVERYWHERE. It may be something else all together.

I just realized that I sent the output and not the story file. DUH!
