Naming multiple Story.files to Run s from Same Set of Directories

Jun 23, 2014

How does one save Storyline with Unique Names vs, "Story.html" and all related files so that multiple videos may be stored and accessed from the same set of directories?

       Story

            Story_Content

                Slides

We are using Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite 7.2 to manage a web page and set the location of the videos.  We do not want to keep adding multiple directories such as Story-1, Story-2, etc.

Thanks for the input.  I am a novice at this so I may be missing your point.  We uploade both the Web pages and the Storyline projects to the same server using the TeamSite application.

Let me try to clarify our situation, We are not using an LMS.  Autonomy Interwoven Teamsite 7.2 is not an LMS application.  It is a Web site mananagement application, for creating and posting web pages and uploading documents, graphics, PowerPoint presentations videos; and in this case, Storyline content files.   The files of the Web site are typically posted to directories such as _doc, _ppt, _video, etc.  We currently have uploaded five sets of Storyline files under the _video directory.  Each Stroryline currently has a unique set of directories:

   Story-X

     Story_Content

       Slides

What we are hoping to learn is how to save each Storyline with a unique name, so that the files of each unique Storyline lesson project can be posted to the same set of Storyline directories (Story, Story_Content, & Slides) on the Web site.

Hi Kim, sorry I got side-tracked by the term 'video'. I thought you wanted to use the same set of videos for different Storyline projects, hence my suggestion.

As far as I know, you can't change the default folder/subfolder names, e.g. 'story_content' of a published Storyline project. You can rename the story.html page for each project, but that wouldn't help in your case, as the content folders for each project would still need to retain the default names.
