This question is a long shot but a closed mouth does not get fed so I will try. I need to make updates to a SL Storyline project but my predecessor did not leave the native file. I have the zip file of the course but not the native. Is there any way (without having to re-create the project) that I can convert the zip file into something I can edit and update? Thank you
Michael is correct and there is no way to pull a project file from the zipped published output, but if starting over is too much, this blog post may help a bit.

There is no option to revert back to the .story file from published content.

You can pull all the images and such used in the course from the zip file as well. That might may it easier to re-build.
