Navigating Back to a Course After Selecting a Hyperlink

Hello Heroes!
I'm hoping someone out there has a new perspective on an issue my team is having...
We create eLearning for a corporate audience and have had a continued issue when utilizing hyperlinks in our courses.
The Problem: Often, when taking a course, users will select a hyperlink to an external resource (e.g. a policy located on a website). This takes them away from the course and sometimes they have trouble finding their way back to the course window/tab in order to finish. This results in calls/emails/IMs to our LMS team who then direct the learner.
Has anyone else had this issue? How do you handle it?
We try minimizing instances of having to leave the course at all, but sometimes it is inevitable.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Kay,
It sounds to me as though you could use a web object instead of a hyperlink: https://community.articulate.com/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-add-web-objects
Have you tried that already?
Thanks Veronica!
A web object will work for some of our content. But there are a couple of internal sites that I haven't been able to get to work as Web Objects (possibly because they're SSO, but I'm not entirely sure). I'll take a deeper look as we continue testing though.
