Navigation Question

Oct 17, 2014

Let me see if I can phrase this correctly so all can understand my question.

I have a slide with multiple hots pots that navigate to other slides. Let's call the main slide, Slide 1, and the other slides A, B and C.

A user selects the hot spot for Slide A.  When Slide A is complete the user clicks Next and is brought back to Slide 1.They can then go to slides B and C and back again That all works fine. Now my dilemma, Slide 1 has 2 layers. I need the user to come back to the 2nd layer.

Is there a way to do this? Otherwise the user has to see the entire slide over again. Does this make sense?

Would it be better if I used multiple layers on one slide? That would complicate the slide quite a bit I would think.

Your thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated,

You can use triggers and a variable to record "completion" and then jump to layer 2 if variable equals true. Specifically, a variable with initial value of false, a trigger to go to layer2 when timeline starts if variable is true, then a trigger to change variable value to true when user clicks hotspot "x".

Hope this helps,
Alex
