Is that font accessible when using Word or Notepad? If not, then it won't work within Storyline. If you're able to use it within Word, you should be able to use it within Storyline. If you installed it while Storyline was open, you'll need to close Storyline and restart, and it wouldn't hurt to restart the computer at the same time.
It sounds odd that the font can be used in Word but not Notepad. Do you know if it's a font I could download for free, if so, could you point me to where you accessed it?

Additionally, just in case this is where you're seeing it - custom fonts are supported in variable references within HTML5 and the mobile player.
