Need a way to show users where their cursor clicked

Feb 01, 2018

I created a software simulation (screen recording) in TEST mode. Users are given a image of MS Word and I tell them to click on "Review" menu. What I want to happen is no matter where the user clicks, there is some type of visual affect to let the user know where they clicked.

I have found 2 possible solutions but each has issues that make it not work.  The first solution would be to use mouse cursor affects but the mouse always has a motion path that I can't get rid of and a click at the end. That path and click will confuse the user. The second possible solution is to use the indicate highlight on click but that option is only available when you insert a screencast is VIEW mode. I need to keep this one in TEST mode. Any ideas?

Wouldn't that be a rather big file when I published it?
