I'm a very new user of the platform (3 days). Simply, 1/2 of the 300+ slides allow me to edit the content within each slide. However, the last 150 slides seem to all be formatted with "Picture Tools" activated instead of "Drawing Tools." When I pull up the slides I can edit I show the slides in "Drawing Tool" mode. When I get to the slides I cannot edit, "Picture Tools" is the format the slide is in.
I have followed the directions off of a Google search to change from picture to drawing, however the steps do not resolve or correct the problem. Has anyone experienced this issue.
Thanks! All of the slides impacted contained only verbiage, not picture or art work of any type. That's the problem that seems "unique" even to the support people at Articulate. I've tried to look at how to adjust each slide individually out of "Picture Tools" and into "Drawing Tools" but have seen no such "conversion" pathway.

I don't seem to be able to a single slide from the range of "infected" slides. The original PP is not accessible at the moment. The challenge I may be faced with is if the changes have to be made from the original PP and then reimported into Articulate, I simply don't have that kind of time. I've made 3 solid days of curriculum edits and corrections which I don't have time to recreate.
Thanks! I'm still looking for a user locally who might be able to meet with me and review this!!!
1) Make the changes in PowerPoint to only those slide,
2) Delete the impacted files from Storyline.
3) Reimport the adjusted PP slides and then reattach them to where I deleted the Articulate images.
At the moment, Articulate support is looking at the whole file, as it exists now, to see what, if any options I might have to change the format of each slide individually. In the meantime, I'll look into making changes on the slides in PP.
The challenge is that this project was given to me only a few days ago, and me without any experience using this particular tool, and a deadline of only a few days. Had it not been for this...hiccup...I'd be done with a substantial portion of the project by now!!! LOL...Anyhow, thanks for the suggestions.
If you have the Articulate 360 suite, consider using the included Articulate Presenter component of Articulate Studio instead of Storyline for your project. Presenter is a PowerPoint plugin so much of your PowerPoint functionality should be retained.
According to our IT staff, we don't have access to Articulate Suite 360. I'll reaffirm that with the person who actually signed off on the purchase. At the moment I've uploaded the entire PP presentation to their support people for a resolution/work around.
Nope..we did not buy Suite 360..just Storyline 3 access. Thanks for the info though...I briefly had a glimmer of hope. Now it rests with their tech support. On the positive side, they have acknowledged that mass importation of PP slides does sometimes create this problem!
Your case is in the hands of Joshua, one of our Support Engineers! It looks like he's already contacted you. You can email him directly if you have any questions.
Looks like Angelo is doing some testing along with Joshua. I apologize for the confusion.
It looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.
Thanks, I know it may be confusing in as much as I have one ticket open already, however, they are working on a separate issue unrelated to my question about printing this presentation out.
I need to print out every slide in the presentation however, I seem to be unable to do so. Is there any help you can give me specific to this request???
As I mentioned, when I try to print it out the only option which appears from the drop down menu is "publish" which I do not want to do.
Thanks
Clark

Hi Leslie, I just got a reply back from one of your other support team members letting me know that printing slides is not an available function of the program. However, it was suggested that if I knew how to code in Java Script I could create some "advanced functionality." Unfortunately, not only I'm I not that familiar with Java Script, the functionalities I need are far from "advanced." At best, my usage issues with this tool are oriented to THE MOST basic of functionality.
Thanks

If you imported slides from PPT some bits may get converted into images, typically happens when you import smart art or grouped objects.

Sorry...didn't know my entire signature info would be sent when responding to this from my email!!
Are the slides imported from PPT? If they show as an image they are an image.
can you send one of the slides and the original PPT slide if you have it?

It will be the import from PPT there will be no way to change in Storyline.
You will need to look at the PPT to see what caused it, as i mentioned grouped objects are the worse culprit.
You would only have to replace the affected slides, but if you have made any edits on those it will need to be reimported.
Sorry I am not local.
That's an idea. I'll need to see if I:
1) Make the changes in PowerPoint to only those slide,
2) Delete the impacted files from Storyline.
3) Reimport the adjusted PP slides and then reattach them to where I deleted the Articulate images.

Hi Chris!
I have to say, Storyline and Presenter are the perfect duo! Of course, if you're set on using PowerPoint we are here to help!

Hi! Thanks. So far no one has contacted me yet. But, hopefully he will contact me soon.

If you publish to word you should get a print out.

Thanks! I'm not sure what happened. I never got an option to choose "Word," of the other 5 selections (CD, Web, Articulate, or LMS) available.
I have a confirmation that the document is "published" which, again, is not what I wanted but a version of the document did appear in MS Word.

For what it's worth, I went through the process selection, the document DID PUBLISH to our website. As I mentioned, that was not what I needed!

Hey Clark,
I recorded a quick Peek 360 video to walk through the option that Phil is sharing here.
If you are truly not seeing the option to publish to Word as I show in my example, let me know.
