how can I dim objects (not making them invisible) in the base layer and show only objects in the new layer. I can see it dimmed while im working on the slide by checking the Dim non selected layers checkbox but when I preview the slide, the base layer shows in color.
Hi Rana, the easiest way to do this is to place a black shape on your layer that is the same size as the slide and then set the transparency to about 20% (or whatever works best for you). Place the layer objects on top of the shape. This will make it look like the objects on the base are dimmed.
I have attached a very simple example to show you what I mean.
