Need Help on using sounds with hotspots

Jan 08, 2014

I want to be able to have a hotspot quizzing question that will also allow a user to click an image to turn off and on the sound. I added the image of the speaker, set the layers and triggers. The sound works fine. The only problem is that once the speaker is clicked to turn on the sound, the slide moves on because it registers that as the incorrect response.

Is there another way....Help?!

I would try putting the PausePlay button on a separate layer so that it doesn't interfere with the Hotspot question layer. See here for a quick example: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/PausePlayHotspot/story.html The PausePlay button sits on a layer that is called when the baselayer's timeline starts. You can toggle the audio at will and still capture the right/wrong click of the Hotspot interaction on the baselayer.
