I have a PC and an iPad. They aren't talking, apparently. How do I get the published Storyline project on to my iPad? I've tried email but my iPad won't allow me to download the content, or it says that the mobileinstall.html "is a type of attachment that can't be access on this device." Need help!
No, still can't find the answer I'm looking for on this link.
Once I have a published storyline project, how do I get these files on my iPad? I have the Articulate Mobile Player, but I'm currently emailing myself the files because that's the only options I have at this point. It still doesn't allow me to download the files because my iPad says, "this type of attachment can't be accessed on this device." I also get a message that my device doesn't support Adobe Flash Player.
You need to publish for HTML5, upload the published content to a server (or some alternative, like DropBox, GoogleDrive) and then launch the content's URL in your mobile browser.
I have a similar problem. I've published a Studio 13 presentation to Dropbox and checked all the options listed above. When I try to open the amplaunch.html file Articulate Mobile Player opens and then provides the message "Cannot Download Content because one or more files cannot be found". I've deleted and re-published several times with the same result. I've tried every file published to Dropbox and I can't get any of them to start the presentation. What am I missing?
I've done the steps above, I have the files on Google Drive, but I can't do anything with any of the files. What is the recommended action at this point?
When I save my files to the Google Drive location, the story.html file appears on my PC; however, when I access my Google Drive files from my iPad, the story.html file is missing, and the only similar to it is blank.html. When I click on blank.html from my iPad, I get a message that it is "unable to open file. This file is not supported. Try opening this file in another app." I only have the option to open it with mail.
What browser are you using to open the links? They'll first need to open in the browser, and that'll direct to the opening in the mobile player if you've published for such. You'll want to use mobile Safari on your ipad as detailed here.
Leslie, that info was very helpful in accessing the module from the web, but I'm still having difficulty getting the google drive files to talk to articulate mobile player.
Ashley, how can I open these Google Drive files in Safari? The files are visible on my Google Drive, but any attempt to click or access them, I get a message that I'm not able to do so because the file is unsupported. When you say "they'll first need to open in the browser," how do I accomplish this?
I don't have Google drive on my iPad - but I assume you're accessing it through the app? If so, it's likely trying to open those documents right in the app. Is there an option to share a public link? That'll be what you need to use to access it in your iPad. If you opened it previously on the web, can you email yourself that link to try opening it in the iPad in Safari? Or perhaps log into Google drive thru Safari vs. using the app?
It's entirely possible, but I'm running into technical difficulties on my side.
My organization doesn't readily provide access to file sharing programs like Google Drive. When I attempt to view the link googledrive.com/host/###, the URL is blocked by category or reputation. I can view the link on my personal mobile devices, but not on my work PC or work iPad...of course, they would be the main content delivery resources.
Now, when I try to access the files with the info you just provided from the Google Drive help site, 1) I've made the folder accessible to public on the web. 2) I've copied & pasted the shared public link into Safari AND Chrome. Chrome gives me the message, "SSL connection error ERR_SSL_Protocol_error" and Safari reads, "Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server"
I'm sorry to hear about the continued troubles - it sounds like you may want to connect with your IT team in regards to the permissions and security restrictions for the company iPad. Perhaps hosting in Google Drive is not a solution you'll be able to utilize and they could offer advice on other web servers that would fit within the scope of their security concerns.

Hi Blair! Are you receiving a message of some kind? Are you accessing the story.html file from your Google Drive location?

I have not personally used Google Drive in this way, but this Screenr should be able to assist you better.
There is also a pretty detailed and lengthy thread here.

From the Google Drive help site, I found that you'll want to go through the following:
