I have set a variable called TitleTextCourseTitle. I am inserting it to my course once on the title screen and then again on every slide in small in the corner.
On the title slide it's Open Sans Light, 16pt, left justified, normal letter width, and on the subsequent slides it's Open Sans Light, 12pt, left justified, normal letter width. However, when I preview the course, that's not how the field is formatted. I've attached images of the title slide to show what i mean. The same is happening on the subsequent slides.

I can see a few reasons why this is happening.
1. The variable text and the shape are not grouped. This is an easy fix! You can group the text together by selecting both the text and object and clicking Format under Drawing Tools tab. Group is in the Arrange and Align section and then click the drop down arrow next to Group.
2. Another reason it might be displayed that way is because there is more text than the previous slide. I'll show you how to change that!
