Need some help with buttons in a quiz layer

Apr 28, 2020

Hello:

I have a quiz and I need to prevent users to pass to the next slide until they answer correctly, and they have three attempts. So I've placed a button on the quiz slide that need to allow users to pass to the next slide only if they give the right answers. I know that this must be done with variables but I just don't know how to do it.

And my other question is that the feedback popup that says right or wrong has a button that alows the users to pass to next slide even when they give wrong answers, and I placed a trigger that should prevent this but is not working (I don't want to delete that button).

Thanks in advance

Hi Wendy. It really worked! Thank you so much. Can I use that method in the wrong answer popup button called "continue"? Because it still alows users to pass without answering correctly the quiz. And I want that button to send back students to the quiz slide obviously.

And no variables involved? Awesome.

Thank you so much.

Yes Wendy but is not the same button, is the one at the popup that says "CONTINUAR": when users fail three attempts it still allows students to pass to the next slide (And I need it, I can't delete it)

Also I don't understand how the transparent shape is working, does it work with a trigger or a variable?

Thank you Wendy

Hi Elisa - sorry for the delay I'm not Articulate staff just someone who helps in the forum and I've been working on my client's project. I've made the following change to your trigger on the Incorrect layer so the user returns to the same slide to try and answer the question again.

The transparent shape uses triggers which contain your variable.
