Need to pass storyline variables in a url

Jan 27, 2014

I'm new in my current organization and the first eLearning that I developed need to interact with a custom LMS here. I have the learners enter their pc ID, first and last name in the Intro slide. I need to pass these values in a url at the end of the module. My question is do I need to create variables in javascript to capture these values, store them in the url, and then use the openwebobject function. Kindly help. I recommended Storyline for in-house development and we purchased it too. Don't want to let people down. Please help.

Thanks,
U

Some general info and examples on how to use Storyline variables with JavaScript are available here: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/javascript-best-practices-and-examples and here is a thread that discusses how to add variables to URL strings: http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/35100.aspx

This may get you started, but the details of your solution will depend on what technology your LMS is based on, e.g. PHP with MySQL, ASP, etc.
