Need to reset the answers to blank

We have given the students 2 opportunities to pass a Review or Knowledge question. If their answer is incorrect, we would like the answers to return to blank. We've tried several quiz types. Currently we are using Match and would like the drop down to return to blank. We've tried triggers to return to the Base slide, reset initial state and can't figure it out. In the attachment it shows our selection in yellow, we'd rather it return to blank. Can anyone help us?

Hi Mark
see if this works for you
Thanks Wendy!! That does work, however you only have it set for 1 attempt. When you add "2 Attempts" this doesn't work. That is where we are stuck.
Hi, Mark -- Would it be possible for you to go ahead and share your file? Perhaps there is something else that may be a factor in this issue and it'd be great if members of the community could take a peek! :)
Yes, here it is. Removed the actual verbiage and audio but everything else is the same.
Hi Mark
updated my sample file - see if this works for you
Sorry I hadn't refreshed my screen to see your upload... let me know how my sample works for you.
Wendy, thanks. I do have one question. In your example, the Text Box "You did not select the correct response" is never used.
Hi Mark
I don't know of any other way to do it if you want the options to reset as that is not default SL behaviour so we are forcing it to happen by using the jump to blank slide in the middle. Wanting to have more than one attempt then brings up another issue as you are leaving the actual quiz slide and it mucks up the 'attempt count'.
Sorry I wasn't more help - perhaps someone else can chime in and help you.
Thank you so much Wendy!!! Chrisite Pollick have you been able to find a solution?
Hi, Mark -- My apologies for the delay in response, and unfortunately, I have not come up with a solution that I think will work for you. Perhaps our Support Engineers could suggest something to do the trick, so I will set you up in a case and a member of that team will be in touch shortly thereafter. :)
Thank you so much!! Appreciate the support.
Hi, all -- I wanted to stop in to share a an update on the progress being made on Mark's case. Here is the response he was sent by one of our Engineers:
"Thanks for contacting Articulate Support and sharing your project file!
I've reviewed your story and it looks like the best approach is to apply Wendy Farmer's suggestion that was offered in your forum post.
Resetting a question when attempting to answer it back after an initial incorrect response is currently not supported. This will make a great feature and I have submitted a feature request on your behalf. You probably already received an email from us letting you know. As an FYI, you can always submit feature requests by using this form. We look forward to your ideas!"
