I am new to articulate storyline and have very basic skills but we have launched a new website for doctors and specialist nurses in training at www.tiaclinic.co.uk
we have tried to make it lifelike in arranging it in clinics as we did it without a formal body linked, it's getting it out there and getting feedback that's the challenge it seems! Free and proceed with quizzes easily as get wrong twice and allows you to move oonanistic views welcome please
I cannot really comment on the subject matter, however, from a design and textual perspective, I think there's some work to be done.
I have just romped through Clinic 1:
Immediate thoughts.....
Your font size jumps around, and sometimes you have spaces between paragraphs, and sometimes not.
You should have a go at customising the Player colours, the "icky grey" can be made a lot more appealing.
Convention has it that spoken word should be italicised
Clinic 1 has a "Resources" tab, but no Resources!
Bullets on the "...a major benefit is that patients" slide are of an indeterminate style. You should have a search on the Internet for Bullet styles and follow one of them - this is a hybrid.
The explanation of the photo where the ",,,patient had his ICA clamped" needs a fullstop.
Do you want follow-up to have a hyphen or not? You seem to have it with, and without.
I think it a good start, but you should now set yourself some design and consistency goals to make it really fly.
1. For all the clinics, instead of plain white background you can use a different background which goes with the subject. Search for 'Medical Templates for Storyline'.
2. In Clinic 2, the correct / incorrect / try again feedback for multiple choice overlaps with the text. It doesnt happen in Clinic 1.
3. Font size inconsistency in some of the slides.
Since you are a beginner, I think you have made a good use of the multiple choice questions and have used the hotspot quiz quite effectively.
I have only been through Clinic 1 it is disapointing that you did not carry through the great design of your website to your learning.
In clinic 3 one of your incorrect feedback layers does not have a background.
I think you have made a good start but need to move further away from PPT and look more at producing interactive learning. Simple things like removing the prev button on the first slide, custoimising the player colours, and not using the default buttons etc can make your work stand out better from the crowd.
I would look at your questions are they set to shuffle, because this is causing alignment issues. Most of your slides have alignment issues, font sizes should be consistent, chose 2/3 sizes (I normally use 20 for headings 18 for sub headings and 16 for body text) and ensure your slides adhere to your rules.
Have a look at the showcase for examples of what people are doing.
The key differences between new developers and good developers in my mind are Object alignment and placement, consistency, using custom colours and designs.
The non-designers design book is a great book to get you started on design.

Thank you for all these tips and feedback. I have found this all very useful. No excuses for presentation but I was amazed at sheer workload of doing these clinics.

Hi Lindsey
I had a quick go through. Here are my comments.

Thank you, it's good to have some feedback to act as a way of mobilising us again to make improvements
Is a quiz an effective method to train people?
I'm not looking at it from a design perspective though.
