new guy with new guys questions

Jun 22, 2018

Hello all.  I am very new to Storyline and have had minimal training with the program so I have many questions that have most likely already been addressed.  My initial question has to do with hiding a button until certain conditions have been met.

Specifically, I have a slide with seven layers.  I do not want the user to be able to proceed with the presentation until all seven layers have been viewed.  Is it possible to hide the "Next" button until all of the layers have been viewed?

Thanks for your help.

Hey John, this can be done in a few different ways and the easiest would to do it through the use of the "Change the state of" trigger.

The ovals would be your buttons in this trigger example. Make sure you also create a trigger that hides your next button. And you will need to create visited states on all of your buttons so the above trigger can check to see if all of your buttons have been clicked to be on the visited state.

Hope this makes sense.
