New Quiz using Storyline 2

Jan 08, 2017

Hello

I am new to storyline and still finding my feet.

I have a project where I have been asked to set up an online test, I have 110 questions and my customer want their people to answer 40 random questions from that 110.

I have created a project and entered the 110 questions, and now I am getting a bit stuck, whats my next step ?

Any help you can offer, would be gratefully appreciated.

Fiona;

Under the Slides tab there is a "Question Banks" link.  When you click on this you have the option to make a new question bank for your 110 questions.  When you have the question bank made, you can then use the same area for a "new draw fro question bank"  This will pop up the options for you to choose the new bank you just created and determine how many questions you want to use from that bank.

Hey Fiona

welcome to the Forum!  Here is a tutorial about QB that might help you get started...there are a couple of follow on tutorials from this one as well...just shout out if you need more help.

One tip. Once you have the 110 questions in your .story file and you import them into a QB you don't need to keep the questions outside of the QB.

Also not sure if you have seen this but for future reference here is a tutorial with a downloadable excel spreadsheet template that will allow you to import the questions into Storyline.

Hi there

I took the advice given to me and I have set up some Questions banks which seem fine and seem to work.

The problem I have now, I have requested that a layer show up if the answer is incorrect, however the incorrect layer doesn't show properly, can you point me in the right direction of what I am doing wrong?

This only happened after I imported the questions into the question banks.

Any help you can give me, would be grateful appreciated.

Kind regards
Fiona

Hi Leslie

I have attached 2 screenshots,

My apologies, I am unable to send the file, as it is a very large file and has sensitive information.

Will this give you an idea, it only seems to have happened after I imported the questions into the Question banks.

Kind regards
Fiona

Hey Fiona - Unfortunately I am not able to see any screenshots attached here. Looks like you may be responding via e-mail, which attaches your signature, but does not allow the attachments to come through. You are welcome to pop in and edit your previous response and utilize the 'Add Attachment' option to attach the files you mentioned.
