New Release Broke Previously Fixed Item(s)
Jun 26, 2018
Hi, Not sure if others are having issues. But we just noticed the new release broke the TAB Order fix done in the previous release.
We have a rollover that shows a layer. The layer has a box with a title, text, and a close button. The June 19 fix had this working great. In the June 22 update, the tab order completely ignores the objects on the layer, jumps to the beginning tab order for the page and you have tab through every object to get back to the layer with the other objects on it. Not good.

·Fixed: There were some keyboard navigation issues, such as an incorrect tab order for objects on slide layers.

I was just noticing this on some slides now that I was SURE were working properly last month.
Well, they would be broken now.
We noticed the same thing as we just published several courses with the new update to fix the media playing issue. When the course was reviewed, the Tab Order issues showed up again and it seems worse than last time. At least last time, you could continue tabbing in order. This time you get looped back to the start of the tab objects. Kind of crazy.
Hi there Bob and Jean,
I'm really sorry you're running into this! Rest assured our team is on it, and we'll let you know as soon as a fix is released.
Thanks for bringing this up to us!
Thank you for bringing up this issue Bob! I just ran into the same problem today as well. Thank you Alyssa for letting us know the team is working on it. I would love to see a solution!
Hi Laurie,
We'll let you know here as soon as we can. Thanks for your patience as our team digs into this one!
What's the chances it will be fixed this month? I'm pretty sure this won't be approved by my Accessibility Office, and I need to have these tutorials available in August.
I may just need to make all the layers new slides.
Hi Jean,
I don't have an ETA yet on this fixes release, but we'll let you know here as soon as we do.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Hi Ashley,
Do you have an update on this fix? Have not seen anything in over a week.
Thanks!
Ashley, Add the Volume Slider to that fix list.
Hi Sean and Bob,
The Tab order issue in the layers is something our team is still working on, but I promise we'll post here as soon as we have an update to share on the ETA for this.
Bob,
Just to make sure we're on the same page, it's the issue you mentioned here and reached out to our team on?
YES! They confirmed it was it was an issue. I created a screener (first one!) and showed them how it operated. The tab order was working fine on the previous fix. If I were Arlyn or Adam, I would find out what the programmer guys are smoking on their breaks. ; )
Hi,
Thank you for bringing this issue up! I had the same problem. Everything worked up to the 12/19/19 release. Looks like this post is a year old.

Hi there, Robi!
It sounds like you ran into one of the mentioned bugs—the volume slider did not work for videos, or the tab order restarted when a layer is opened—but no longer see it in Storyline 360, Build 3.35.21017.0. Is that right?
Let me know! I want to make sure we got you covered. 😊
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
It's not he volume slider that doesn't work. It's all the tabbing. The version you mentioned works fine :) it's the versions after that that don't.
