Hi, Cheryl -- Thanks for reaching out! I thought I might stop in to mention in case you were not aware, we also have a design-related forum over here and you'd be welcome to pose your question there, as well!
Whoo hoo. That was fun and more challenging than I initially anticipated. I created a blog post about it as there are a few "factors" to consider in why I created my template the way I did. Hope this helps.
I went to bed after posting last night, started playing with my created puzzle and realized some issues. I could barely sleep I wanted to fix it so badly.
Now I have.
I updated the templated and made note of a few more quirks. The blank template now on my page should function okay. Take a look at the updated notes at the bottom of my post for one more assumption about the learners not clicking every blank box (you know someone will). Also I added some notes about troubleshooting the states if you happen to add a hint into the wrong square and need to remove it.

As you are waiting for the community to weigh in and share here, I thought I would share a couple of forum threads here and here.
Working on it now. I've wanted to for a while, but now you've got me going. :)

Cannot wait to solve it Tracy :)

Oh my, thank you. This gives me hope that I could actually learn the tool, although I know I have a long way to go.
Thanks Tracy!
