NEWBIE Needs Help! Quick Course Template?

Hello!

My boss purchased Storyline for me last week for delivery of a module to a client TODAY. I'd hoped there would be a standard course template to blast this out in, but I'm not finding that. I've found templates and downloaded them, but even adding new slides asks each time to apply a template before I even work on the slide, and doesn't allow changing after-the-fact to an interactive slide, etc.

BOTTOM LINE: Can anyone point me to a simple way to get something out there quickly? Our old course includes several interactive slides and knowledge checks. I hugely appreciate any help. Wondering if I should create in PowerPoint and import, but worried about how complex adding interactivity that way would be.
