If you fail, you click a 'retry assessment' button and it brings you back to the intro page.
We have 'next' and 'back' slide navigation controls turned off because we are using our own custom 'next' and 'back' buttons on the GUI.
On the first pass through the quiz, it works as expected, the 'next' and 'back' slide navigation controls are hidden.
However, oddly, if you fail and click the 'retry assessment' button, on the second pass through the quiz, on the question screens only, the 'next' and 'back' slide navigation controls appear on the GUI!
I had the same problem yesterday trying to customize the "Review Results" mode.
Just like for you, the Next and Prev buttons were displaying although unchecked. I got very confused. It ended up working somehow after I unchecked/checked a bunch of things. One of those bugs one can't totally figure out...!
I managed to remove the buttons by toggling the "Player features" dropdown from Custom back to Player Defaults, then they re-appeared as checked, and I unchecked...also not sure if it made a difference but I had changed my "When revisiting" option to "Resume saved state".
Hi, P-Y -- Thank you for sharing your suggestions with Karen, and I hope she finds them useful!
Karen, please let us know if you are all set, and again, if you would like us to take a closer look at your file, please use the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left corner of the reply box in the thread, and you can browse for the file from there. Please also note that if you reply via email, your attachment will not appear here in the thread. Thanks! :)
Thanks for the suggestion P-Y! However, I tried everything you mentioned, but the arrows are still appearing for me unfortunately. I will add an attachment in the next few mins.
Hi guys, I've attached the file with the issue. I've also noticed that in preview mode - if I use 'preview scene' the arrow issue doesn't occur. But if I use 'preview whole course' it does. To confirm, the issue also happens in the html output.

This sometimes happens to me if I have a stray slide in my scene that isn't part of the running order. Removing the slide usually clears the issue.
Hi Karen,
I'm not sure what you mean by the arrows - are you referring to in story view? The arrows show how slides are linked together.
In regards to the prev/next buttons appearing, that is expected as detailed here during a review.
