i am working on my C drive. I make edits and they are working in preview. I publish the course and sevral next buttons dont advance. The triggers dont work. It is randomly selecting slides. what should I do?
If you view an Articulate Storyline published course on your local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. You can view this article for more information.
you could also share the file here if you would like us to take a look.
this sounds quite mysterious. I know that some things (like hyperlinks) sometimes do not work properly in a preview because of browser restrictons etc. but the other way round?
Usually I just know the rule: If something is working in preview it is usually working when it is published.
When you publish the courses, you will always want to test the published output in its intended environment to make sure it is working as designed. The article above gives suggestions of places to test the output if you do not have access to the intended environment, such as the LMS or webserver that will be hosting the course.
